Alcohol policy

Legends Hospitality is the exclusive provider of concessions and catering at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees and Legends Hospitality work together to promote responsible drinking.

The Yankees prohibit anyone from bringing alcohol into the stadium. Any person who intentionally withholds alcohol while attempting to enter the stadium will be refused entry without refund and may be subject to arrest and/or disqualification from season tickets and/or future ticketing privileges. Anyone who is disabled or appears to be disabled will be refused entry with no refund. Alcoholic beverages may not be removed from the stadium.

Guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Proper ID is required for all guests and must be presented to purchase alcoholic beverages regardless of age.

Attempting to use fraudulent identification, purchasing alcohol for a minor or a guest who has been denied alcohol service, and/or attempting to purchase or possess alcohol while underage will result in immediate eviction without refund and possible arrest and/or to revoke season tickets and/or future ticket privileges.

Posse

  • There is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per guest, per sale at concession stands and portable carts in the Field, Main, Grandstands and Terrace/Grandstand areas, and a limit of one alcoholic beverage per guest, per vendor sale when vendors are selling in the residential areas .
  • Yankees and Legends Hospitality reserves the right to refuse the sale or service of alcoholic beverages to any guest with evidence of a disability. Guests found in possession of alcohol after being warned not to consume or purchase alcohol will face immediate eviction without refund and possible arrest and/or revocation of season tickets and/or future ticket privileges. It is against New York State law to serve alcohol to a visibly impaired person.
  • Visitors who are or appear to be disabled, who intentionally withhold alcohol when attempting to enter the stadium, or who otherwise violate the alcohol policy, shall be subject to immediate eviction without refund and possible arrest and/or revocation of season tickets and/or Future tickets count tickets privileges.

Sale of alcohol - opening hours

For Monday through Sunday games, alcohol sales will begin in the following areas when the gates open: Yankees Premium Area bars, lounges and clubs; the club suite; luxury and party suites; the Audi Yankees Club; the Pepsi Lounge; Landing from the Great Hall; Concession stands and portable carts.

Sale of alcohol - time limit

Sale of alcohol in portable carts in the grandstands and in the grandstand seating areas will end at the end of the seventh shift. The sale of alcoholic beverages in the stadium's other stands will close two hours after the start of the game or at the end of the seventh shift, whichever comes first. General sale of alcoholic beverages from concession stands and portable carts in the Field, Main and Terrace/Arandstand Levels, Sony Terrace and Great Hall Landing halls will end at the end of the seventh shift.

Alcohol sales will begin when the gates open in the following areas: Yankees Premium Area bars, lounges and clubs; the club suite; luxury and party suites; the Audi Yankees Club; the Pepsi Lounge; Landing from the Great Hall; Concession stands and portable carts. The on-call duty in the Champions Suite begins when the gates open; Waiting service in the Legends, Delta SKY360°, and Jim Beam suites and in the field level seating area will begin one hour prior to the scheduled kick-off time. The sale of alcohol by vendors in the seating areas will begin 30 minutes prior to the game's scheduled start time. Alcohol sales in all regions will end at the end of Q3.

Yankee Stadium management reserves the right to discontinue the sale of alcohol at any time.

For events other than the Yankees home game, New York City FC home game, and the Pinstripe Bowl game, alcohol availability and alcohol sale start/limit times may vary and are determined by Yankee Stadium management, among others.

Please note that the net is located behind home plate between the inside of the Yankees bench (Section 017B) and the inside of the visitors' bench (Section 022). The height of the retrieval net decreases as you get closer to each shelter.

Baggage Policy

For security reasons, each guest may bring only one MLB-compliant bag—currently defined by Major League Baseball as soft-walled and no larger than 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches—and only one soft, smaller bag into Yankee Stadium. Large double-sided personal item (e.g., a purse, clutch, tote bag, or plastic grocery bag). All rigid bags and containers are strictly prohibited. All bags, personal items and their contents will be visually inspected before they are allowed to enter the stadium. Bag-sized bins are used at entry checkpoints to confirm the size of all bags and personal items that must fit without assistance, alteration, or adjustment.There is no storage space for items.In order for guests to enter the stadium in a timely manner, the Yankees encourage guests to be aware of and comply with baggage regulations and to take as little as possible with them. banners and signs

Banners and signs are acceptable as long as they relate to baseball, are in good taste, are non-commercial in nature, and are not supported by wood, metal, or other materials that might be harmful in a crowded public setting. Banners and signs may not obstruct the view of other guests or Yankee Stadium advertising signs or be displayed in the stadium in any way. Banners and signs may only be carried between shifts on the stands. Banners and signs may not be displayed in the exhibition area. Any banner or mark may be removed at any time in the sole and absolute discretion of the Yankees.

bottles and cans

No cans, thermoses, or glass or aluminum bottles are allowed inside Yankee Stadium. Exceptions will be made for guests with medical needs and glass bottles, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Yankees. Acceptable are closed soft-sided containers for soft drinks (e.g. small milk carton or juice carton), sealed clear plastic water bottle of 1 liter or less and empty plastic sports bottle.

cameras and video equipment

Single frame flash photography is permitted, as are extended length zoom lenses, provided they do not interfere with the game or event or the enjoyment of the game or event by other guests. Monopods/tripods, other professional photographic equipment, video cameras, and any other device intended solely for video and/or audio recording are not permitted. In the event that Yankee Stadium needs to be evacuated immediately, instructions will be given to visitors where possible via public address systems/open call systems and high definition televisions in the halls. Guests are encouraged:

  • Always be aware of your location in the stadium.
  • Identify the two exits closest to your seats.

Lost children/group members

In the event that a child or group member becomes separated from their group, the guest will be escorted to the Yankee Stadium lobby adjacent to Gate 2. Guests searching for a lost child or group member must locate a Yankee Team Member Stadium* and proceed directly to the lobby. Guest Relations will provide complimentary wristbands to parents or group leaders who wish to "tag" their children or group members with the seat. Parents and group leaders can obtain wristbands at customer service stands and kiosks throughout the stadium.

metal detectors

As part of Major League Baseball's initiative to standardize safety procedures at all 30 major league parks, all visitors are required to pass through metal detectors before entering Yankee Stadium. The increased security measures are a result of MLB's ongoing collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security and are intended to improve and standardize security practices throughout the game. The additional security measures are in addition to the baggage screening conducted at all MLB stadiums.

As a result,The New York Yankees strongly encourage all visitors to allow additional time to arrive and enter Yankee Stadium for all home games.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited at Yankee Stadium. There are no designated smoking areas and re-entry is prohibited. The use of smokeless tobacco is also prohibited. Violators will be expelled from the country immediately.

standing/sitting

Standing and sitting on the corridors, ramps and stairs is not permitted. Guests are asked to return to their seats. It is also forbidden to sit or stand on the armrests of benches, to stand on benches or step over them.

stroller

Strollers are allowed at Yankee Stadium. Collapsible trolleys must be stowed under passenger seats if they can be stowed safely without blocking aisles for other passengers. Large collapsible and non-collapsible carts must be stored at the Guest Services and Ticketing booth near Gate 6 in the Great Hall.

umbrella

Umbrellas are allowed at Yankee Stadium; however, an umbrella may only be used if, when open, it provides protection only to the guest holding it and does not interfere with the enjoyment of the game or event by other guests or interfere with the ability of other guests to view the game or event . Large and/or golf umbrellas are not permitted in the stadium. Guests may be asked to close their umbrellas if they obstruct other guests' views.
